Community College Roundup : Churchill Leads Fullerton to a 10-3 Victory in Baseball

Tim Churchill went 3 for 3 with a bases-loaded triple and four RBIs, leading Fullerton College to a 10-3 South Coast Conference baseball victory over Golden West Thursday at Fullerton.
Bart Stroozas drove in two runs with two triples. Andy Ruscitto and Emmitt Cohick also drove in two runs each.
Tom Smythe hit two home runs for the Rustlers, driving in all three runs.
Mark Kiefer (3-0) was the winning pitcher. Rudy Taub took the loss.
Fullerton is 3-0 in the conference, 7-3-2 overall. Golden West is 2-1 in conference play.
In swimming:
Orange Coast 113, College of the Sequoias 79--Matthew Harris won the 1,000-meter freestyle and the 500-meter freestyle and swam the anchor leg on the winning freestyle relay team, leading the Pirates to a nonconference victory.
In men’s tennis:
Orange Coast 7, Grossmont 0--No. 1 Chris Ganz defeated Mo Jackson, 6-1, 6-4, leading the Pirates (6-0) to a nonconference victory at Grossmont.
