AND WAIT, THERE’S MORE: Tom Scholz, the techno-guru behind Boston, has donated an estimated $250,000 to Greenpeace, the international environmental group, which Boston endorsed in the liner notes to its current album, “Third Stage.” . . . Pop cult-fave Robyn Hitchcock and the up ‘n’ coming Nashville-based the Royal Court of China, have both signed with A&M; Records. . . . The San Diego-based Paladins have finished a debut album with crack producer Steve Berlin, which will be out on Wrestler Records. . . . The Fat Boys’ upcoming film, “Disorderlies,” will not only feature the Hefty Ones performing a cover of the Beatles hit, “Baby, You’re a Rich Man,” but also a new Beach Boys rap-wave version of the old Surfaris tune, “Wipe Out.” . . . Guitarist John Carruthers has left Siouxsie & the Banshees, which may put a crimp in the group’s plans to tour behind their current album (which includes the current KROQ-hit cover version of “This Wheel’s on Fire”). . . . The Bangles new video, “Walking Down the Street,” features a special appearance by Randy Quaid (as an amiable country bumpkin) and Bangles manager Mike Gormley (as a reporter).
