Al R. Shankle Heads General Contractors

Al R. Shankle, president of Al Shankle Construction Co., Anaheim, has been elected president of the statewide Associated General Contractors of California for 1987. He succeeds M. B. McGowan, president of J. H. Pomeroy & Co. Inc., Petaluma. Other officers elected by the 60-member board of directors include senior vice president Jerry Toll, vice president of Kiewit Pacific Co., Arcadia; vice president Edward O. Ronchelli, president and co-owner of Christensen & Foster, Santa Rosa, and treasurer Nian S. Roberts, owner of NSR Inc., Sacramento.
Richard B. Munn, executive vice president, continues as secretary of the 2,100-member association, whose member firms perform nearly 70% of all non-residential construction dollar volume in California.
