Brown University sophomore Amy Carter faces possible suspension from the school for protesting apartheid at a demonstration, but thanks to two Boston dee-jays, she’ll be able to drive off campus. The 19-year-old daughter of former President Carter had her car “booted” and towed because she owed $305 in parking fines. But Andy Moes and Joe Martelle of WROR-FM, calling Carter “a brave young lady” for her protest activities -- paid off in fines and towing fees Monday. Carter still hasn’t picked up the car, though, and a spokeswoman for Citizens Auto Body, where the car was towed, said storage fees would continue to mount until it was claimed.
