A consortium of six foreign companies has offered to finish building a nuclear power plant in Iran, the president of one of the firms said. Abel Gonzalez, president of ENACE, a nuclear engineering firm jointly owned by the Argentine National Atomic Energy Commission and Kraftwerk Union of West Germany, said the consortium was formed last week. He said it proposes to complete work on the Bushehr 1 plant that was halted when Muslims overthrew Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlavi in 1979. However, a Kraftwerk spokesman denied any knowledge of the proposal, and the Argentine government declined comment.
