Astronaut Who Probed Challenger Deaths Quits

HOUSTON — Astronaut Joseph P. Kerwin, 55, the doctor in charge of determining how the Challenger crew members died, has resigned after two decades of service that included a Skylab mission, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration announced Friday.
