A late winter storm spread up to six inches of wet snow across the Great Lakes region. The National Weather Service issued a travelers’ advisory for Wisconsin and southern Michigan. Six inches of snow fell in Muskego, Wis., while Detroit, Grand Rapids and Muskegon, Mich., had four inches. Rain and snow extended from the central Plains through the Ohio Valley and Great Lakes to Pennsylvania. Snow extended from northeast Iowa across the Great Lakes, and a mixture of rain and snow was falling in Pennsylvania. A tornado touched down in Nelson, Neb., damaging two houses and a garage, but no injuries were reported.
