Italian Designer’s Entire Line Stolen

MILAN, Italy — Thieves have stolen top Italian designer Krizia’s entire winter collection, and they probably had information from a “mole” on her staff, investigators said Thursday.
Copies of the clothes are likely to appear in Hong Kong or Taiwan, they said.
The thieves, who broke into the Krizia showroom on Monday night, made off with about 1,600 garments from the fall-winter 1987-88 collection worth about $615,000.
Investigators said the thieves are almost certainly hired professionals working on inside information. They found the showroom expertly stripped only 11 minutes after the alarm sounded.
