Convicted murderer-rapist William (Archie) Fain was sentenced in San Jose Municipal Court to 75 days in jail and fined $395 for prowling and peeping in a window. Fain, 41, has had several run-ins with the law since his release in 1983 after serving 16 years in prison for the 1967 slaying of a Stanislaus County youth and the rape of his two female companions. He was also convicted of another rape. His parole caused a public outcry. He currently lives in Arizona, but his attorney told Judge William Martin that Fain would like to return to California.
