Harbor Gateway : Cleanup Day Is May 16

The annual spring cleanup day for Harbor Gateway, the portions of the city of Los Angeles east of Torrance and Gardena, is scheduled for May 16.
Five rubbish and debris collection sites will be set up by the city’s Sanitation Department between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.: 830 W. Gardena Blvd.; Halldale Elementary School, 21514 Halldale Ave.; Hoover Street at 135th Street; Normandale Recreation Center, 22400 S. Halldale Ave., and Rosecrans Recreation Center, 840 West 149th St.
Toxic materials, such as oil and paint cans, and automobile parts will not be accepted by the Sanitation Department on cleanup day.
