Three basketball players, including former Mater Dei High School guard John Mounce, have signed letters of intent to attend Southern California College in the fall, Vanguard Coach Bill Reynolds said Thursday.
Mounce, a 6-foot 3-inch guard, attended Asuza Pacific this past season but has transferred to SCC for his sophomore year. He will become eligible in late December.
Reynolds also signed 6-3 guard Jeff deLaveaga, who averaged 28.9 points per game as a senior at California High in San Ramon last season and was an honorable mention McDonald’s All-American selection, and 6-6 forward Brian Krenzin, who averaged 8.1 points and 5.9 rebounds last season for San Jose City College.
