The Clippers hired veteran trainer Bernie LaReau to replace Mike Shimensky, who was the team’s trainer for six years before leaving to pursue other interests.

LaReau, 50, has worked as trainer for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League as well as the Indianapolis Pacers and the San Antonio Spurs of the NBA. Most recently he was at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
