A children’s race has been added to this year’s fifth “Run for Fun” at Woodley Park on Sunday. Children will compete in a mile run at 7:45 a.m., followed by a 5K race at 8 and a 10K run at 8:30. Trophies and medals will be awarded to the top finishers in each age division.
Olga Singer, a City recreation and parks supervisor for the West Valley district, expects to more than double last year’s 300 entrants, partly because this is the recreation and parks’ first running events of the summer.
Proceeds will go to the West Valley district recreation programs. Registration begins Sunday at 6:30 a.m.
