Videotapes of the Bolshoi Ballet will be available at selected retail outlets in the Southland beginning July 1. The famed Soviet dance company performs in Los Angeles Aug. 11 through 30, as part of its long-awaited U.S. tour, officials said Friday. “The taped selections are very close to the live performances they are going to do during their tour,” said Sarah D. Aspen, spokeswoman for Chicago-based Home Vision, distributor of the two $39.95 cassettes. “An Evening With the Bolshoi,” a live performance taped by the BBC when the company appeared in London last summer, includes the Bolshoi’s announced U.S. repertory.
