The captain of the battleship New Jersey was reported in serious condition with head injuries he suffered when the car he was driving was struck from behind by a truck while double-parked in Huntington Beach. Police said Capt. W. Lewis Glenn Jr., 46, had dropped off his 13-year-old son to run an errand and was waiting for him to return when the crash occurred. He was trapped in his vehicle after the crash and was freed by Huntington Beach firefighters.
