Actor Sean Penn was ordered today to spend 60 days in county jail for reckless driving and for allegedly pummeling an extra who took his photo on the film set of “Colors.”
Los Angeles Municipal Commissioner Juelann K. Cathey imposed the two-month sentence, to begin July 7, after ruling him in violation of the terms of his probation due to the two recent incidents. Penn, who pleaded no contest to the reckless driving charge today, was placed on probation earlier this year after pleading no contest to a misdemeanor battery count for having punched a patron at a nightclub near downtown Los Angeles in 1986.
