SOLEDAD, Calif. — Juan Corona was denied parole today after a state board reviewed a psychiatric report that said the convicted mass murderer would be “extremely dangerous” outside the confines of prison.
Corona is serving 25 concurrent life sentences in connection with the hacking deaths of 25 seasonal farm workers 16 years ago. The ruling by the state Board of Prison Terms came after a three-hour hearing in which Corona was twice admonished for not speaking more on his own behalf.
