Canyon Country Man Found Dead on Road

A 20-year-old Canyon Country man whose body was discovered early Tuesday lying on Lake Hughes Road in Castaic might have been the victim of a hit-run traffic accident, the California Highway Patrol said.
The dead man was identified as Thomas Allen Reuskens, a Los Angeles County coroner’s spokeswoman said.
His body was found at 1:35 a.m. in the westbound lane of Lake Hughes Road, less than half a mile east of Ridge Route Road, CHP Officer Ralph Elvira said.
Based on the injuries Reuskens suffered, investigators speculated that he might have been trying to walk across Lake Hughes Road when he was struck by a vehicle, Elvira said.
The CHP so far has no witnesses, he said.
