Despite a lengthy strike by technicians and other employees, NBC’s “Today” show toped the morning Nielsen ratings for the 40th week in a row last week. For the week ending July 3, “Today” captured a rating of 4.3 and a 23 share. ABC’s “Good Morning America” took second place with a 3.9 and a 21 share. CBS’ “The Morning Program” straggled in with its lowest rating yet: 2.0 and a 10 share. Each rating point represents 1% of the nation’s estimated 87.4 million homes with televisions; the share is a percentage of the audience that is viewing during a particular time period.
