Rebel With a Cause
I have long wanted to meet Mr. Stanley F. Sheinbaum, the indomitable rebel with a cause. And thanks to Ronald Brownstein’s cover story (“The Man Who Would Be Kingmaker,” June 28), I feel as though I finally have. Bringing men and money together is no mean feat. Sheinbaum must find great satisfaction in succeeding on behalf of the causes closest to his heart. But his revealing statement “I began to see not too much difference between a liberal and a conservative” makes me wonder about calling him “the Statue of Liberty of liberal politics in America.”
