My wife and I watched “Bergerac” quite by chance one Tuesday at 8 p.m. on KOCE Channel 50. We haven’t missed an episode since. Everything about this fine Australian production is outstanding: the Isle of Jersey setting, fine actors, gripping mysteries, good music and authentic dialogue. Unlike other public television series, “Bergerac” isn’t being shown on either Channel 28, 24 or 58. One might say it’s one of the best-kept secrets of television. We commend it to Southland viewers.
