COLUMBUS, Ohio — A 38-year-old man who suffered from AIDS died less than a week after he was deported from China and flown back to the United States in an Air Force jet, a hospital official said today.
Hospital spokesman David Crawford said Brent Anderson, who worked for a computer-related industry in New York, died Saturday. Anderson had been brought to the hospital July 19 after his condition was diagnosed as AIDS in China. His family asked the U.S. government for help in transporting him home after commercial airlines refused to take him.
