UCSD Women Win in Volleyball

The UC San Diego women’s volleyball team defeated Cal State San Bernardino, 15-11, 15-11, 12-15, 9-15, 15-7, Tuesday at San Bernardino.
UCSD (14-2), ranked No. 1 in NCAA Division III, was led by Lori Luhnow, who had 18 kills and 5 blocks. Diana Klintworth added 14 kills for the Tritons.
San Bernardino is 14-3.
In other women’s volleyball matches:
Hawaii 3, San Diego State 1--Tita Ahuna had 12 kills as the Rainbows defeated the Aztecs, 15-8, 16-14, 12-15, 15-4, in Peterson Gym. Angelica Jackson had a match-high 15 kills for San Diego State, which is 2-5 in the Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. and 5-9 overall. Hawaii is 7-0 and 12-0.
Azusa Pacific 3, Point Loma Nazarene 2--Lisa Vander Feer had 25 kills for Point Loma, but Azusa Pacific improved its Golden State Athletic Conference record to 2-5 and its overall record to 8-14 at home. The Crusaders are 2-5 in the conference and 7-10 overall.
