The wife of former Baltimore Orioles pitcher Milt Pappas died an accidental death, a coroner’s jury in Wheaton, Ill., ruled.
Carole Pappas disappeared Sept. 11, 1982, triggering a highly publicized investigation. Her body was found Aug. 7 in her car, which was submerged in a pond.
