South Coast Plaza has gone out on the Town & Country.
In celebration of its 20th anniversary, the Costa Mesa-based mall--along with 16 of its big-name merchants such as Gucci and Cartier--have spent more than $300,000 for a 22-page advertising spread in the October issue of Town & Country.
But among these high-brow advertisers, don’t look for one of the mall’s oldest and biggest tenants: Sears.
Meanwhile, the mall--which rarely places commercial displays in its shopping courts--has struck a deal with Cadillac to display the auto division’s slow-selling $55,000 Allante in two areas of the mall. With an average 40,000 shoppers visiting the mall each day, said Marketing Director Maura Eggan, “A lot more people come through here than a car dealership.”
Just ask the plaza’s valet parking attendants.
