Local News in Brief : Escapee Wants Book First
- Share via
Although production companies are eagerly courting Vincent Pelliccia for the film rights to his decades-old prison escape story, the retired movie studio electrician from Newhall says his first interest is a book.
“I’ve had 10 people approach me for 10 different movies, and I believe everyone means well,” said Pelliccia, 67, who in August was arrested for a 41-year-old prison break in Virginia, where he had been serving time for burglary.
But Pelliccia said he wants a book written, at least before a film version is made, “because TV movies tend to distort things.”
He received a pardon 13 days after his arrest.
