Robert T. Voelkel, 54, former vice president and dean of Pomona College and author of many academic articles and papers. He was the editor of the English version of Wilhelm Herrmann’s “The Communion of the Christian God” and author of “The Shape of the Theological Task,” a study of the German theologian’s liberal thoughts. In Fontana on Oct. 7 of a heart attack.
