Northridge’s Fann Selected Player of Week

Albert Fann of Cal State Northridge has been selected offensive player of the week in the Western Football Conference.
The freshman from Cleveland High rushed for 133 yards and 2 touchdowns on 15 carries as the Matadors defeated Cal Lutheran, 36-14, Saturday. Fann, who has yet to start, has three games in which he’s rushed for more than 100 yards.
He has 441 yards on 54 rushes for an average of 8.2 yards a carry.
Tackle Ina Talalemuto of Portland State was defensive player of the week. The 6-2, 256-pound junior from Pago Pago, American Samoa, had 13 tackles, including three quarterback sacks as Portland State, ranked No. 5 in Division II, fought Division I-AA Idaho State to a 24-24 tie.
