Coto de Caza : Stubborn Old Oak Tree Finally Gives Ground

Tree-removal experts finally uprooted a 150-year-old oak tree here Monday, a week after they failed to remove the 70-ton tree because of its weight and extensive root system.

“We used a bigger crane today and did manage to get it uprooted,” said a spokesman for Coto de Caza Development Co.The tree had blocked construction of homes in the exclusive gated community in south county.
