Auxiliary Catholic Bishop Agustin A. Roman, who played a major role in ending the recent Cuban prison uprisings, is unhappy with a new U.S. review plan for Cubans facing deportation and will discuss the problems this week in Washington, his lawyer said in Miami. “Our struggle is just beginning,” Roman said after hearing about the plan. Cuban inmates rejected for parole or slated for deportation by the Immigration and Naturalization Service could have their cases reviewed by the two panels that would include Justice Department appointees. The two review panels were created in an attempt to make the process fairer and to give the appearance of fairness, Deputy Atty. Gen. Arnold Burns said.
