Pepperdine to Play Two in Northwest

Pepperdine’s basketball team, which won its first two West Coast Athletic Conference games at home last week, will be on the road for its next two games.
The Waves (10-5), who are only 3-4 away from home, will play Gonzaga (9-6 overall, 0-2 in the WCAC), tonight at Spokane, and Portland at Portland (5-10, 0-2) Saturday night.
Last week, the Waves made it four victories in a row, defeating St. Mary’s in overtime, 67-61, and the University of San Diego, 92-77. Tom Lewis, Pepperdine’s top scorer with an average of 23.6 points a game, had 21 against the Gaels and 29 against San Diego.
