Prep Basketball : Tousey Scores 27 in Brea-Olinda’s Win

Susan Tousey had a game-high 27 points and added 8 rebounds Saturday night to lead the Brea-Olinda High School girls’ basketball team to a 77-49 victory over Loara at Brea.
Aimee McDaniel added 21 points, including two three-pointers, and had 4 assists for the Wildcats. Teammate Kristen Blair had 10 points and 5 assists. Brea-Olinda (18-1) was the top-ranked team in Orange County, according to the Orange County coaches’ poll.
Heidi Sorour had 22 points and Michelle Roland 10 for Loara.
In an Olmypic League game:
Capistrano Valley Christian 44, Orange Lutheran 31--Sue Kallias led Capistrano Valley Christian (3-8, 1-5) with 14 points. Forward Pam Marty scored 10 points for the Lancers (7-7, 3-3).
In an Olympic League boys’ game:
Orange Lutheran 67, Capistrano Valley Christian 54--Geoff McArthur scored 16 points to lead Orange Lutheran (8-7, 3-3). Teammate Gaylord Greene scored 15 points and Pat Bagatourian added 10. Shane Meiner led Capistrano Valley Christian (9-6, 4-2) with 17 points. Kirk Riddle added 16 points and Bret Biegert 11.
