Iraq Missiles Kill 17 in Tehran

MANAMA, Bahrain — Iraq fired two missiles into Tehran today, killing 17 people, and Iranians shouting “Death to Russia!” marched on the Soviet Embassy to protest the sale of missiles to Baghdad, Iran’s news agency said.
Iran retaliated for the deaths in Tehran by firing a missile into Baghdad and then offered to end the latest outbreak in the “war of the cities,” a five-day wave of strikes and retaliatory attacks on Baghdad and Tehran that have left scores dead and wounded.
