Duarte : Hearing on Liquor Sales

The City Council will hold a public hearing March 22 to discuss new policies and controls on the sale of alcoholic beverages.
Concerned about the proliferation of liquor outlets, the council will consider their proximity to residences, churches, schools and public playgrounds. One proposal would keep places that sell alcohol at least 1,000 feet away from one another. Full-service restaurants and supermarkets would be exempt.
