Reports from the National Football League scouting combine and National Collegiate Athletic Assn. postseason tests show a decrease in the number of college football players testing positive for street drugs and steroids.
Frank Uryasz, NCAA director of sports sciences, said it is not yet clear whether the testing results indicate drug use has actually decreased or if players are getting smarter about when not to use drugs.
