Warner Bros. will handle home video distribution of 300 titles from Weintraub Entertainment Group’s film library for seven markets in Europe and Asia, the parties announced. Weintraub President Kenneth Kleinberg said the firm will get a “multimillion-dollar” advance on its share of what might be $50 million to $70 million in retail sales of cassettes, but he declined to give more details. Kleinberg said the distribution deal was its first since acquiring the entire British-based Screen Entertainment Ltd. (formerly Thorn-EMI) film library, which contains 2,200 titles, last year from Cannon Group for $85 million.
