A U.S. military team flew to Vietnam to discuss the Southeast Asian nation’s accounting of Americans listed as missing in action in the Vietnam War, a U.S. official said in Bangkok, Thailand. The regularly scheduled talks in Hanoi follow Vietnam’s repatriation on March 2 of what are believed to be the remains of 17 American MIAs. It was the largest turnover in two years and the fourth largest since the war ended. The United States lists about 1,800 Americans as missing in action in Vietnam.
