Question: The amnesty program for people who have been working as unlicensed contractors to apply for a state contractors license, expired Jan. 1. I made application in late November, and I have not even received acknowledgement that my application has been filed.
Answer: More than 30,000 applications for licenses were received during December. That is about the number normally received in an entire year.
The Contractors’ State License Board announced it would schedule examinations for about 5,000 to 6,000 persons a month in Pasadena and Sacramento.
