Clippers Limp Into Houston Tonight
The Clippers, who have been hampered by illness and injuries, will be short-handed again tonight when they play the Houston Rockets at the Summit.
Forward Michael Cage, who had been expected to rejoin the team tonight after sitting out the last three games with pneumonia, hasn’t fully recovered and probably won’t be back in action until Friday, when the Clippers play the Dallas Mavericks at the Sports Arena.
Guard Quintin Dailey, sidelined with a groin injury, will also miss tonight’s game and Wednesday night’s game in San Antonio. Dailey flew home after the Portland Trail Blazers handed the Clippers their 23rd consecutive road loss Sunday night.
Rookie swingman Reggie Williams is also questionable for tonight’s game with a strained right knee.
