Westmont Is Beaten in NAIA Tournament

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Eric Davis scored 18 of his 26 points in the second half, and Wisconsin Eau Claire pulled away to a 74-59 victory over Westmont College in the first round of the NAIA basketball tournament Wednesday.
Davis, a 6-7 junior forward, also controlled the boards, getting 13 of his 17 rebounds after halftime. The score was tied, 34-34, at intermission, but Westmont managed just two points in the first 7 1/2 minutes of the second half.
John Anderson had 17 points for Westmont (23-9). Wisconsin-Eau Claire is 23-7.
