GOP Opposes Use of State Funds to Counsel Gay Students

I read the article regarding Uribe with great interest.
I reflected back to a time in the mid-1960s in a small town on Long Island, N.Y., where I cried myself to sleep many nights not understanding these powerful feelings I was having and wanting ever so much to be just like the “other guys.” If only I had a Virginia Uribe in my life at that time.
I urge the L.A. school system to stand behind Uribe in light of this no-funding nonsense, and support the priceless gift she undoubtedly brings to the many lives she touches. God bless you, Virginia!
