Postal Instant Press, the nation’s largest franchiser of printing centers, said a management-led offer to buy the company has expired and that it is negotiating to be acquired by another suitor for a higher price. The Los Angeles-based company said it received the new offer of $17.50 per share, or $68.25 million, from an investor group that it didn’t identify. That is 50 cents a share higher than the offer by the management group and the Chicago-based leveraged-buyout concern Golder, Thoma & Cressey, which made its offer Feb. 19.
