College Softball : Chapman Sweeps Past Redlands

Chapman College swept a nonconference softball doubleheader from the University of Redlands Monday, winning 3-0 and 6-1 at Hart Park in Orange.
Chapman’s Jackie Blake (9-4) pitched a six-hitter in the first game and Kirsten Lewis went 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs to lead Chapman.
Cheri Schreck was the winning pitcher in the second game. Lisa Falsken (2 for 3) hit a three-run double in the sixth inning.
In other nonconference softball:
Southern Utah State 2-5, Southern California College 1-4--Heather Hobbs and Sheryl Ault each drove in a run for Southern Utah (5-3) and Lisa Pay pitched a complete game in the first game.
Southern Utah’s Luann Weston went 2 for 4 with an RBI and Cindy Ropelato pitched a complete game in the second game.
