Sportswriter Don Snyder of the Los Angeles Times was awarded the Mort Luby memorial ring for writing, and the Rip Van Winkle plaque for meritorious service to bowling in Jacksonville, Fla., at the 48th annual convention of the Bowling Writers Assn. of America.
