Pasadena : Design Students Honored

Three San Gabriel Valley students at Art Center College of Design have won national minority scholarships from Hallmark Cards Inc.

They are Kevyn Lee Wallace, 26, of Pasadena; Daniel Hu, 24, of Alhambra and Mitchell Guintu Bernal, 23, of Rowland Heights. Another winner at the school is Hyun-joo Choi, 27, from Korea.

The Art Center won four of the five scholarships given annually by Hallmark, a school spokesman said. The awards consist of $2,000 a year for juniors and seniors plus an eight-week paid internship at Hallmark’s headquarters in Kansas City, Mo.
