Ayrton Senna of Brazil, driving a McLaren Honda turbo, won the pole position for today’s Brazilian Formula One Grand Prix.
Senna covered the 3.126-mile Jacarepagua Circuit in 1 minute 28.09 seconds. Britain’s Nigel Mansell in a Williams was second in 1:28.63, and Senna’s French teammate, Alain Prost, ran third in 1:28.78.
