From the “What’s next, Smell-a-Vision?” file: KTTV-TV Channel 11 may have just the thing for TV viewers who prefer to watch Pasadena’s annual Jan. 1 Rose Parade from their living rooms rather than brave the often nippy elements and often tipsy sidewalk campers. The station plans to broadcast the Tournament of Roses event in 3-D. Special camera units are being built and a team of 3-D experts is being assembled to produce the broadcast, station officials said Monday. KTTV executives are pondering ways to distribute the 3-D spectacles required for that added dimension.
