The La Canada Unified School District selected Judith Glickman as its new superintendent at a board meeting last week.
Glickman, 43, will replace Supt. Donald Ziehl, who is retiring July 31 after 23 years with the district. Glickman was selected from 140 applicants after a yearlong, nationwide search.
For the past six years, Glickman served as superintendent of the Moraga School District in Contra Costa County, where she also served as an adviser to the fiscal management policy team for the state Department of Education.
A native of New York, Glickman received her undergraduate degree in biological sciences and her master’s degree in education from UC Berkeley. She has a Ph.D in educational psychology from USC.
