Local News in Brief : Irvine : Growth Measure Author Will Debate Nestande

Slow-growth initiative co-author Tom Rogers will square off against Bruce Nestande, former county supervisor who is now a vice president of Arnel Development Co., in a public debate on the measure on April 28.
The initiative, which would curtail development in unincorporated parts of the county, is on the June 7 ballot.
The Community Associations Institute, a nonprofit group, is sponsoring the event, which will be held in Auditorium CN-25 on the concourse level of Park Place (Fluor Building) at 3333 Michelson Ave. The debate will begin at 6:30 p.m., and a question-answer session will follow.
