Tina the Movie

Disney is negotiating for rights to develop a Tina Turner biopic. If the deal is finalized, Turner will be a creative consultant, not the star, with an unknown likely to play her, says her manager, Lindsay Scott.
Scott told us the studio has acquired the bios “The Tina Turner Story” and “Tina” and the autobio “I, Tina” for possible use as source material.
Meanwhile, Turner, who co-starred in “Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome,” is looking for a new movie. She’d prefer another action role before she gets too serious, said Scott, “because she thinks it would be fun--and Tina loves to have fun.”
